King Ding Lives

This will be short and sweet. It was Christmas in the early 70's. My oldest son wanted a robot called "king ding". It was a cute little robot about a foot tall that walked and went "ding ding" with every step. One night after Christmas, while my kids were sleeping, I was watching TV when all of a sudden I here a ringing sound coming from the dining room. I get up to see what it was and here comes the King Ding. It had been put under the sewing machine in the dining room. King ding walked out from under it and made a left (which it is not suppose to be able to do) walked around the dining room table came through the foyer and was making a left into the living room. I tried to turn it off but it wouldn't turn off. I woke up my son and asked him to help turn king ding off, after a few minutes he was able to stop it. He swears there were no batteries in it.

We have had many odd occurances in our house back then, this was just one of them.
